About Me
Lexie is an animation artist, photographer, and writer. She holds an honours BFA from OCAD University, and is currently a graduate student of Cinema & Media Studies at York University. Her most recent animated work seeks to explore how the aesthetics of childhood can illuminate, and interrogate traumatic experiences. Influenced by cartoons, the 1990's, and art cinema, her work embraces drama and comedy equally - drawing a continuum between the insanity of existence, and the joy of being alive.
Her graduate research seeks to imagine autism as a type of artisty in avant-garde and art cinema.
